
This is supposed to represent the concept that young love is blind. The tour guide says that at 16, this man has fallen in love with a horse-faced woman but doesn't notice. I guess he was too busy staring at her other, ahem, features.

Yesterday we also went to see the statue of
Gomateswara, the largest monolithic statue in the world. Gamateswara was the aesthetic who founded the religion, and here he has been standing in one place for so long that vines have begun to grown around his limbs. This thing is huge- one of his fingers is almost as tall as me!
